About
Phuong Dam Artist

Phuong Dam is an interior designer and a Verre Églomisé engraver.

He first encountered the Églomisé technique while working at Jonathan Charle Fine Furniture company in the United Kingdom. This serendipitous encounter, along with his boundless passion, has led him to become a master Verre Églomisé artist in Vietnam.

Églomisé is a difficult, costly, and highly skilled technique, which is why it is less known today compared to other forms of art.  Despite the challenges, he has creatively developed new methods to make Églomisé more accessible to the public. Through this, he aims to preserve and maintain ancient techniques that were nearly lost to the present day.

Engraved by Phuong Dam Artist.

Napoleon Crossing the Alps (also known as Napoleon at the Saint-Bernard Pass or Bonaparte Crossing the Alps is a series of five oil on canvas equestrian portraits of Napoleon Bonaparte painted by the French artist Jacques-Louis David between 1801 and 1805. Initially commissioned by the King of Spain, the composition shows a strongly idealized view of the real crossing that Napoleon and his army made across the Alps through the Great St Bernard Pass in May 1800.

It became the most commonly reproduced vividly image of Napoleon through sophisticated gold and platinum gliding engraving on glass techniques. The verre eglomise becomes more classy on every interior space.

The trees stood in tight rows, as if the forest had been marked with a ruler. From the south, you can see the Martini Tower through the trees.

Jonas Zeuner captured that beautiful image in a delicately carved gilded verre églomisé before Sterrebos was redesigned and lost the shape of a star.
